Information continues to change through its transmission. This can happen consciously, but also unintentionally. The media is often accused of incomplete or misrepresented information. With this project, we want to engage in a digital, musical process in which we examine how we ourselves listen, filter and pass on information.
The project was developed within the framework of a digital residency supported by the Goethe Institute. For 5 weeks Anna Papaioannou (Anna VS June) and Jacob Stoy sent various news reports from Greece and Germany to each other as voice memos, screenshots or videos via email. Our goal was to interpret all this information and reform it sonically in a way that reflects our linguistic and cultural differences but also our common grounds.
INTERPRETING DATA IS A PROJECT BY ANNA PAPAIOANNOU (ANNA VS JUNE) & JACOB STOY.
